Bringing our world-leading research to life

Discover Festival offers a vibrant programme of free, hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity, raise awareness of higher education, and support young people’s aspirations. Delivered by Newcastle University academics and researchers, the event brings real-world research to life through engaging, accessible experiences across a wide range of subjects.

Students will benefit from a highly interactive environment, with opportunities to experiment, create, and problem-solve through workshops, demonstrations, and drop-in sessions. Hosted across the campus, the festival also gives groups a valuable chance to explore a university setting, helping demystify higher education and inspire future pathways.
