Bike Week

5th - 7th May 10:00 - 15:00
Newcastle University

Bike Week, organised in partnership with WATBike and funded by Cycling UK, is taking place from Tuesday 5th May to Thursday 7th May in the Boiler House.

Each day will include:

  • Dr Bike maintenance sessions:
    • Bring along your bike for minor maintenance, repairs and advice on how to maintain your bike from the WATBike technicians.
    • Appointments are on a first-come first-served basis, so the earlier the better.
  • Second-hand bike sale:
    • Lovingly refurbished bikes across a range of styles and sizes.
    • Buying second hand is not only great for your wallet, but also for the planet!
    • The bike sale will be running until the bikes sell out, so head down early to avoid disappointment.
  • Maintenance Tips (Advice Sessions):
    • Drop-in sessions each day to learn about general maintenance tips for your bike.
    • These include how to change or pump a tyre, what height to set your saddle at, how to keep your bike clean etc.
    • Feel free to head down during these sessions to ask for advice or tips on bike maintenance.

Tuesday 5th - Thursday 7th May

All events will take place in the Boiler House and Student Forum area on campus (next to the Student Union)
