A brief outline of my research project

The proposed goal of this project is to analyse the semantic field of MORALITY in English language under contextual influence. The focus is centred around the semantic attributes of the lexical items of the field, with a consideration to the contextual influence that is expected to manifest. Henceforth, this is an onomasiology and semasiological study with pragmatic dimensions that is centred around lexical semantics (Cuyckens et al., 2003), (Evans, 2009), (Geeraerts, 2009). Semantic field theory is the key concept to be studied, as it revolves around the membership and organization of MORALITY words. Finally, Frame semantics provides the concept of cognitive frames that must be taken into consideration to understand the contextual meaning of the words produced. The main question is: how is the Semantic of morality organized, structured, and operated in context?
