Exam season is here, and we know it can feel a little intense. But don’t worry—ResLife has your back every step of the way. Studying in your flat – be mindful, be kind

Your flat can be a great place to study—but remember, everyone’s in the same boat right now.

A few simple things can make a big difference:

  • keep noise levels down
  • be mindful when inviting friends over
  • consider using headphones
  • Use social or study spaces if you need a change of scene

We do see more noise concerns during exams, so try to approach things calmly if issues come up—and be understanding if someone approaches you too.

Most importantly, look after each other. Check in, suggest a quick break, or grab a coffee together in the social space. A little support goes a long way!

What to remember before your exam

Set yourself up for success with this quick checklist:

  • student ID card (your physical card—don’t forget it!)
  • arrive early – aim to be there at least 20 minutes before
  • bag drop – there’ll be designated areas for coats and bags
  • drinks & snacks – non-carbonated drinks only (labels removed), plus a small snack if needed
  • dress smart – exam halls can vary in temperature, so bring a jumper

After your exams

Once it’s over—take a breather. Do something you enjoy, whether that’s watching a show, going for a walk, or catching up with friends. Keeping a positive mindset is just as important as the revision itself.
