I am a Research Assistant in public and patient involvement and engagement (PPIE) within the NIHR Newcastle Patient Safety Research Collaboration (PSRC). I coordinate the patient public advisory group, support strategies for PPIE in research, advice on integrating PPIE in research, build on local and regional collaborations, and monitor and evaluate the impact of PPIE on research, public contributors and researchers. I am also involved in an evaluation of a healthcare navigator intervention in Northumberland and North Tyneside, aimed at supporting access to health and social care services for vulnerable populations.
